A widely known practice among yogis in the Himalayas, SAMADHI is a state of suspended animation -- a virtual death where all bodily functions are suspended. This state has been repeatedly demonstrated by Pilot Baba, a Hindu mystic. Although a pilot in the Indian Air Force who fought the 1965 and 1971 wars against Pakistan, the path of his life made him renounce the secular world at the age of 35 to become a yogi. After 7 years of studying with various teachers, Pilot Baba attained self-realization and hence the capacity to maintain the state of Samadhi. He has taken many underground Samadhis, where he will remain buried in a small space as in Agra for 7 days, in Devidhura for 15 days and in an ice cave in the Himalayas for 33 days. Pilot Baba has also taken Samadhi in an airtight glass at Mavlankar Hall in New Delhi and at several other places. In this completed episode he undertakes Samadhi in an airtight glass in the town of Dewas in Madhya Pradesh for 96 hours. (48 Min.)
